Talkhon Hamzavi was born in Teheran,
Iran and relocated to Switzerland with her
family in 1986. She studied directing and
screenwriting at the Zurich University of the
Arts. Her acclaimed film Parvaneh received
multiple awards, including a Student
Academy Award and a First Steps Award,
and an Oscar nomination in 2015. Talkhon
has produced various films and music
videos and is currently developing scripts.
She also coaches at filmkids.ch, introducing
young minds to filmmaking.
