Rai María holds a degree in audiovisual
communication and a diploma in
film directing from ECAM. She is the
writer and director of the feature films
Malpartida Fluxus Village (documentary,
2015) and Karen (fiction, 2020), along
with several short films, the most recent
being The Girl Martyr (fiction, 2022). Her
work has been supported by the Spanish
film academy residencies and ECAM’s
incubator programme. Recognised
by Variety as an emerging talent, she
was also named one of the ten most
internationally promising filmmakers
in the second edition of Spain Stars of
Tomorrow by Screen International.
