Celia Canning

Celia Canning graduated in graphic arts at Auckland Technical Institute in New Zealand then moved to Paris where she studied and graduated in animated film at CFT Gobelins. A few years of writing and directing short animation films followed, leading to directing music videos (French, Spanish, British, from Cape Verde, etc.). This opened up to musical theatrical work: writing, stage design, directing, costumes, masks, acting... even singing. Illustration for children’s and adult books has also been an ongoing activity over the years. Her film project "Division" (working title) is her first feature fiction.
