Biography

Born in 1976. After obtaining a degree in Communication studies  from the University of Siena, in 2004 Maria Cristina undertook a Masters Degree in Audiovisual Writing at the University of Rome. On completion of her Masters degree Maria Cristina joined Sintra, an independent production company based in Rome, as an intern. Her role included reading scripts and undertaking research for the company’s projects. Thanks to the commencement of a european co-production she stayed on at Sintra as production secretary. Since then, she has been working as  personal assistant and script advisor for producer Rosanna Seregni. Since 2005 Maria Cristina has also been collaborating with API, the Italian association of independent producers, mainly in the organisation of their annual international conference. Furthermore in 2005 she was selected to take part in “SceneInsiders”, a Script Factory (UK) workshop on script development  (masterclasses held by Wim Wenders and Paul Fraser, amongst others). In summer of 2006 she volunteered at the Cambridge Film Festival, an important indie festival in the UK scene.    Currently she is involved in the pre-production of a feature film to be shot in Argentina, while she continues to read scripts.
