Diana Păroiu is a Romanian film and series producer, owner of the production company Visual Walkabout.
She has produced several films including Sebastian Mihăilescu’s MAMMALIA (Berlinale Forum 2023) and Mona Nicoară & Dana Bunescu’s THE DISTANCE BETWEEN ME AND ME (Romanian Gopo for Best Documentary 2020).
At Visual Walkabout, Diana nurtures high-end TV series and bold features by Romanian authors, as well as projects created by top talent from around the world. Through her production outfit, she has handled the Romanian part of shoots for Davy Chou’s Oscar-shortlisted feature RETURN TO SEOUL (Cannes Un Certain Regard 2022) and for Oscar-winning director Thomas Vinterberg’s series FAMILIES LIKE OURS (Venice World Premiere 2024).
Since spring 2025, Diana also develops original series in the Scripted Content Department of PRO TV (Romania’s largest private broadcaster) and for its VoD platform Voyo. She oversees a portfolio of in-house series, handling the creative development process through to the shooting stage.
Diana evaluates and selects projects and does mentoring work for funding bodies and markets, such as Creative Europe MEDIA, Torino SeriesLab & Les Arcs Copro Village.
Diana is an alumna of EAVE, EFP’s Cannes Producers on the Move, Torino SeriesLab, Rotterdam Producers Lab. She studied at the universities of Westminster and St Andrews.
