TFL's international co-production market comes back for its 16th edition.
A moment eagerly awaited by the community: the TFL Meeting Event returns in 2023 between Thursday 23rd and Saturday 25th of November. As usual, the international co-production market powered by TorinoFilmLab since 2008 fulfils the task of concluding the year by showcasing the projects developed within two of the annual programmes of TFL to a wide audience of film industry professionals.
The selected public will feature international professionals such as producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers, funds & festival representatives who will meet face-to-face with our participants.
The programmes involved:
- 20 ScriptLab feature film projects at an early development stage
- 10 FeatureLab feature film projects at a more advanced stage of development
After eleven months of exciting premieres at the main festivals, residential and online workshops and countless hours of work behind the curtains, TorinoFilmLab has reached its favourite moment of the year: it’s time to live it together.
After working hard on their projects over the course of 2023, the FeatureLab and ScriptLab participants will get on stage to receive a prize backing the further development of their story. What kind of awards?
- The 4 PRODUCTION AWARDS: partially financed by Creative Europe - MEDIA Subprogramme of the European Union (a total of € 180,000) going to 4 FeatureLab projects.
- The GREEN AWARDS: designed to promote a more sustainable way of writing and making cinema. The Green Filming Awards will be assigned to the FeatureLab projects, the White Mirror will be given to a ScriptLab project.
- The PARTNERS' AWARDS: from Eurimages to CNC, from ARRI to IEFTA: numerous prestigious audiovisual institutions support the further development of the projects.
The Awards Ceremony will be held in the evening of Saturday 25th November.
This year, in addition to captivating stories, meaningful connections, and inspiring ideas, we invite you to embrace our new challenge. At TorinoFilmLab we know that sustainability is an urgent matter and playing our part is crucial, therefore, we decided to do our best to prioritise social responsibility through several actions and activities.
Starting in 2023 TorinoFilmLab embarked on a three-year path to sustainability improvement according to ISO 20121, an international standard for managing sustainable events that offers guidance and best practice to control the social, economic, and environmental impact of the event.
